fl charter boats, sail again
Report Date: November 4, 2007
Finally, were getting out there again. If you live down here in Florida then you know how bad the wind has been for the last week and a half. Well, it’s stopped and the seas have laid down and reports of sail and dolphin are all ready running rampant. I would have to say that every boat that fished today had at least a couple of sail bites and a decent catch of dolphin. Some boats came in with as many as seven or eight bites from sails, add a dozen dolphin bites on top of that, along with a ridiculous amount of kingfish and bonita and your in for one heck of a day. I know of one boat that went through 75 baits in ¾ of a day.
The water was prettier then you would expect after such a long blow but the fact that it came around to the East for the last couple of days helped push the clean warm water in close. The best of the action was between 130 and 200 feet of water. We are going a few times this week, so check back in. I expect big things for the next few months!
