Great bottom fishing off Stuart, trolling too

Report Date: September 29, 2007

Ohhh, this wind is killing me. Just as I find some of the best Red Snapper fishing we've seen in a year and it's already gusting to 40. Even with windy conditions today, the bottom fishing was great. Red Snapper up to 15 lbs. We fished for them for about an hour and kept seven (20 inch min.).

3 were over 10 lbs.
The dolphin fishing maintained, with most boats catching between 5 and 10 fish, average size was about 8 or 10 pounds. This North wind might make it choppy, but I expect fishing to be pretty good after it lays down. Look forward to more sail action, and hopefully the snapper continue to get pushed down with this wind. The next few months is when I recommend going!
