Finest Kind takes 1st

Report Date: June 10, 2007

Finally, the weather has broke! Seems like summer is here. The ocean is flat the winds are calm and the fishing is right where we want it. The Sails are still here, seems like we have at least one shot every day still. The Dolphin fishing is still good, but the west wind last week pushed them a little further out. Being out in the deep water allows us to target some other species. Wahoo, Blue Marlin and the big Warsaw Grouper. Over the last week we have caught three out of six sails, we’ve seen about a dozen more. We’ve used the electric reel to catch three nice Warsaw (only allowed one per day) and a hand full of nice Snowy Grouper. We also caught a 25 lb. Black Fin and had a look at two beautifull Wahoo. The Kingfish bite is not in full swing yet but the ones we are catching are nice sized fish. The Finest Kind caught two over 30 lbs. The last couple of days. The latter of the two being the 1st place fish in the T.C.B.A. tourney which had more than 200 boats in it.
The moon is coming up and this is when Sword fishing is best (when it’s calm). June and July are also peak months for Tuna trips. Pleas specify when inquiring about them.
It’s definitely a Boneshaker Summer.
