Boneshaker Fishing Charters in Stuart wins the New Smyrna Billfish Tournament. Charter the Boneshaker
Report Date: October 11, 2009
Our Stuart, Fl. fishing charters are ready for sailfish season. This week the tuna chair came off and Our Fl. sailfish charters started up. We headed up to St. Augustine and New Smyrna for a couple of early Fl. Sailfish Tournaments. The El Pescado and the N.S.B.F.I. were both a lot of fun. We had perfect weather and pretty good fishing too. Eleven fish won the St. Augustine leg and we finished in the middle of the pack with six sailfish releases out of 13 bites.
We won the second tournament with 12 releases out of 15 bites. Second place was Floridian Charters with eight and my buddy Neil on the Outlaw took third with a nice quad at the end of the day to give him eight too. Ski Bo Eakle, Dan Hall, and Patrick Price of Day Maker Charters fished as our mates, and Boneshaker owner Joe Lehner and the Midgets were our anglers.
The wahoo where everywhere up there as well as dolphin and black fin tuna.
With all the bait that is up there it won’t be long before we are having lock and load action.
One or maybe two cold snaps and it’s on! Contact me, Captain Scott so I can put a first class Stuart Fl. fishing charter together for you.
